an african village: postcards from potou
April 24, 2008
During the school year, the entire Rashkis Elementary 4th grade discovered what life was like in a small African village, Potou Senegal. At the end of the program, these dancers presented an extraordinary glimpse of life in Potou to the Rashkis Elementary community. The program was conceived by NC AIA Artistic Director Kay Gayner, directed by NC AIA Associate Artistic Director Alton Tisino and inspired by the National Dance Institute of New York.
