NORTH CAROLINA ARTS IN ACTION LAUNCHES PILOT PROGRAM WITH BALLET GREAT JACQUES D'AMBOISE
What: As a part of the North Carolina Arts in Action (NC-AIA) pilot program,110 fourth graders at Mel and Zora Rashkis Elementary School in Chapel Hill will dance for one of the finest ballet dancers of our time Jacques d'Amboise. He is a former New York City principal ballet dancer, founder of the National Dance Institute of New York and a board member of NC-AIA.
North Carolina Arts in Action believes that the arts have a unique power to engage children and motivate them toward excellence, create a love of the arts, pride of achievement, and a belief in themselves that will carry over into all aspects of their lives.
