Congratulations, York Elementary!

Congratulations to York Elementary Schools and its fourth grade students and team for their capstone performances today in The Collision: Technology Meets the Arts.

For the past 16 weeks York fourth graders learned about the power of curiosity, creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration. This year's theme Technology Meets the Arts celebrates the advancements of modern technology and the role it plays in our daily lives. Through dance, music, and visual art, our students explore the evolving relevance of technology as a means of communication, connection, and productivity in today's society.

Our program was directed by Marlon Torres, written by Alton Tisino, with musical direction by Doug Largent. Assistant Direction was led by Sue Smith. Narration was by Yolanda Rabun. The performance included two original musical pieces by Alton Tisino, The Artificial Human and Think Big.

On behalf of the children we serve, thank you to parents and our guests for attending both performances. Thanks also to our wonderful supporters for making this program possible. In addition, we thank Principal Williams and York teachers, Ms. Trvino and Ms. Haan, for their enduring support in our second year of this program at York Elementary.
